How to Install iOS5 Beta 7 (get the official and latest iTim Text App Here)

IMPORTANT: You must be a part of the iTim Beta Developer Test Team to do this.

1. You must have iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 and iOS 5 beta 7. If you are an iTim Beta Developer Tester, text itim-support from your itim app for more info. (not a beta tester, submit a request to join our team here)
2. Install iTunes 10.5 beta 7
   
   Download iTunes 10.5 by entering your itim nickname below
   @ Mac User Windows User Windows 64bit User
   
   
   INSTALLING iOS 5 beta 7
   
   
3. Open iTunes, and connect your iPhone through USB cable to your computer.
4. Select your iPhone on the left side of your iTunes.
5. Save the iOS5 dmg/zip file and double click it to open the folder, and copy and save the .ipsw file to your desktop. Don't have the iOS 5 dmg/zip file? get it below (only for members of the itim beta developer testers team)

   iPhone 4 (AT&T GSM) - Download iOS 5 by entering your itim nickname below

   iPad 2 Wifi Only - Download iOS 5 by entering your itim nickname below

6. Backup your device. To do so, Control-click or right-click the iPhone or iPod touch icon on the left side of the iTunes window and choose Back Up.
   
   
   
   After it has backed up your device, proceed to step 7.
   
   
   
7. Hold the Alt key (on Mac OS X) / the Shift key (on Windows) + Click on “Restore”. It should open your folders window so you can pick the .ipsw file. If it doesn't open the folders window then you did not
   
   Warning: YOU AND YOUR DEVICE MUST BE PART OF THE ITIM BETA PROGRAM TO DO THIS
   
   
8. Browse and select the iOS5 IPSW file you have downloaded earlier.
9. That's it, sit back and wait :)
10. Important, during the restore process, itunes will ask whether you would like to set up this iphone/ipad/ipod as 'new' or 'restore from backup', choose restore from backup. This will put all your apps and data back as it was.
